DDS stands for ‘deep drawing quality steel’. Deep drawing steel DDS type C steel is more draw-able thatFS type A & B steel& DDS type A steel. DDS type C steel is for sure stabilized steel whereasDDS type Adepends on customer requirement of stabilization.
The Chemical Composition:DDS type C is composed of maximum 0.02 percent of Carbon, maximum 0.5 percent Manganese, maximum 0.02 to minimum 0.1 percent Phosphorous, & maximum 0.025 percent Sulphur. Remaining is Iron with other impurities. Minimum percentage of Aluminum is 0.1 percent. Zinc is coated on this composition of base steel.
Mechanical Properties:
The yield strength ranges from 170 to 280 MPa of the above material designation. The elongation of these materials is greater than or equal to 32 percent.
